It's been about a year since I've written and I really don't even know where to begin.  School has offically begun and it has been wonderful.  I have a totally different outlook on school this year.  God placed many burdens on my heart this summer and one was for my campus.  The last two years at Tech I was focused way too much on school and myself, but this year I have a deep desire to invest in people in any and every way possible.  He must become greater, I must become less.

Something else that has been on my heart is overseas missions.  I have fought God for the last two years with His calling on my life and finally this summer I surrendered.  I know, I know, two years is a long time, but I really struggled with knowing if that was what He wanted or what I wanted.  I can't even begin to tell you how that felt to finally surrender.  It took me getting up infront of 1500 people and telling them what God had been doing in my life to finally realize that I was/am called to serve overseas.  When and how long, I have no idea.  I know God is going to continue to prepare and equip me for the journey that I am so ready to embrace.  I want to be ready.  I want to be focused. 

So I'm updating...finally!!  This weekend has been CRAZY!  The family left Lake Charles and went to Shreveport to stay with some cousins.  A tree fell on the garage, but thankfully there were no cars in it because they are all in the shop! (thank you Jesus!!)  Hopefully they will be able to get back in the next few weeks.

Well, flag football is about to start and i'm so way totally excited!!!  the MEESE is going to be a wonderful team and we are going to have great fun!! 

School is stressing me out already.  I thought I was over being stressed from school, but it looks like I am wrong.  It just seems like the more I study, the worse I do.  The other day in class I began to think of what a waste school is.  There are much more important things to do out in the world than feeding my brain with needless knowledge that I couldn't care less about.  But I know God has put me here for a reason, and I need to focus on the here and now.  As one of my wonderful friends put it, "Just have fun with life", and what fun I am having!  I never realized how charming Satan can be.  He sneaks in, and kills, steals, and destroys.  But what an amazing Savior I have that forgives my ever fault!

So something for you to think about...   What are your goals this year?  There are so many things I want to do this year.  God brought many things to my mind this summer and I can't wait to reach many of these!

Well i'm out to do something!  Oh!! If anyone ever gets the chance to read "Blue Like Jazz" I totally recommend it!  It is a WONDERFUL book!

This weekend was AMAZING! Me and two of my friends went to Tyler to visit Justin at Pine Cove! I enjoyed every minute of it!

This week I got off from Dry Creek and I am going on a mission trip w/ my church and family.  We are going to Beautiful Feet Ministries in Dallas and I'm so way excited!!

Today is exactly one month away from my 19th birthday!!  YEAH!!

I hope everyone's summer is going well, whether they are overseas, in the states working at a camp or doing missions, or at home ministering!! God has you exactly where He wants you, so make the most of wherever you are! Focus on where He has placed you this summer, b/c it's almost over!

So it's 5:50 in the morning and I feel terrible!  I decided to get out of bed, since I was just laying there, and study for my test Friday. (I know, what was I thinking right?) 

Last night we (The BCM softball team) played ACTS and we gave them all we had!  It was a load of fun!  I was VERY excited because I got to third base (I saw home but last night just wasn't the night for me to score!  I have a feeling it will be the next game!!) and hit someone in!  Needless to say, I was way stoked! 

The summer keeps getting closer and closer, but I don't think it has hit me yet. 

My friend from back home got engaged yesterday!!  She was totally stoked!  It's amazing to see how God provided an awesome, God loving guy for her.  He brought her her fish!  (Out of the fish tank, as we like to say because there is no sea of fish!)

Well I guess i'm going to try and go back to sleep!  I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
